We welcome new members. The Lakeville Lions Club was chartered April 6, 1953. It was sponsored by the Northfield Lions Club and numbered 49 members. Since then the membership has fluctuated from a low of 18 in 1962 to a high of 65 in November of 1968, and in recent years has regularly remained around 50. The club meets the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 6:30 p.m. Membership meetings include dinner, an informative program, and good fellowship. Business activities are generally reserved for the meetings of the Board of Directors. Board meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. All meetings are held at the VFW in downtown Lakeville, unless otherwise informed Contact any Lakeville Lions Club member for sponsorship to attend a regular meeting. The opportunity to join will be discussed at the meeting. |
